Raindrop Operation Joel University (“ROJU,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how it may be used and disclosed, and the choices available to you.

By using the ROJU website, creating a profile, enrolling in a course, making a payment or donation, or otherwise interacting with our ministry, you acknowledge the practices described in this policy.

• Account information, including your username, profile information, and password in protected form.
• Enrollment, course participation, assignment, attendance, and completion information.
• Ministry, volunteer, membership, or event-registration information.

• Payment and donation information. Payment-card information may be processed directly by an authorized payment provider and may not be stored by ROJU.
• Photographs, video recordings, audio recordings, testimonials, or other content when you voluntarily submit them or provide appropriate permission.

• Other information you choose to provide.

2. How We Use Information

ROJU may use personal information to:

• Create, maintain, and secure your user profile.
• Provide access to courses, programs, portals, events, and ministry resources.

• Communicate with you about your account, studies, ministry participation, events, and important announcements.

ROJU does not sell or rent personal information. We may disclose limited information:

• To service providers that operate our hosting, learning systems, email, security, analytics, payment, and other authorized services.
• To authorized instructors, administrators, ministry leaders, or volunteers who need it to perform their responsibilities.
• When you direct us or give permission.
• To protect the rights, safety, property, and security of ROJU, its students, participants, and others.
• To investigate suspected fraud, abuse, unlawful conduct, or policy violations.
• When required by law, court order, subpoena, or other valid legal process.
• In connection with a ministry reorganization, transfer, or succession, subject to appropriate protections.

Authorized service providers may use information only for the services they provide and are expected to protect it appropriately.

4. Photographs, Videos, and Audio

ROJU may photograph or record certain classes, worship services, conferences, ceremonies, public events, and ministry activities. When an individual is identifiable and material will be used publicly or promotionally, ROJU will obtain appropriate permission where required. General enrollment or membership alone does not give ROJU unlimited permission to use an individual’s image, voice, testimony, or likeness.

Adults may provide permission through a separate media release. A parent or legal guardian must provide appropriate permission for a minor.

5. Cookies and Similar Technologies

Our website may use cookies and similar technologies to keep users signed in, remember preferences, support enrollment and payments, protect accounts, understand website use, and improve performance. You may control certain cookies through your browser, but disabling necessary cookies may prevent parts of the website from working properly.

6. Data Security and Retention

ROJU uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. No electronic system can be guaranteed completely secure. You are responsible for protecting your password and promptly reporting suspected unauthorized account access.

We retain information only as long as reasonably necessary to provide services, maintain legitimate academic or ministry records, fulfill legal and financial obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and protect the organization.

7. Your Choices and Requests

Subject to applicable law and legitimate recordkeeping requirements, you may ask ROJU to provide information about your account data, correct inaccurate information, update communication preferences, close your account, delete information we are not required to retain, or withdraw future media permission where the applicable release permits it.

A withdrawal of media permission applies to future uses where reasonably possible and may not require ROJU to recall or destroy materials already printed, published, distributed, or incorporated into completed productions.

8. Children’s Privacy

The ROJU website is not intended for children under 13 to create independent accounts or submit personal information without appropriate parental or guardian involvement. When applicable, ROJU will follow parental-notice and consent requirements. A parent or guardian who believes a child submitted information without authorization should contact us.

9. Third-Party Services and International Users

Our website may link to payment processors, video platforms, social networks, and other independently operated services. Those services have their own privacy practices. Information submitted to ROJU may be processed or stored in the United States or other places where authorized service providers operate.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes in our practices, technology, ministry operations, or legal obligations. The revised policy will be posted here with a new effective date.
