Terms of Use
The standards and responsibilities that govern participation in ROJU.
Effective date: September 5, 2026
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern access to and use of the Raindrop Operation Joel University (“ROJU,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) website, user accounts, courses, portals, ministry resources, events, and related services.
By using the website or creating an account, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the website.
1. Ministry and Educational Purpose
ROJU provides Christian education, discipleship, ministry training, spiritual-development resources, community activities, and related services. Unless ROJU expressly states otherwise in writing, participation does not guarantee ordination, employment, professional licensing, transfer credit, or acceptance by another institution.
2. Eligibility and Accounts
You agree to provide accurate registration information, protect your username and password, use your account only for authorized purposes, notify ROJU of suspected unauthorized access, and accept responsibility for activity conducted through your account. A parent or legal guardian must authorize a minor’s participation when required.
3. Christian Community Standards
Participants are expected to communicate and conduct themselves with honesty, respect, dignity, and Christian character. You may not use ROJU services to:
- Harass, threaten, abuse, exploit, or unlawfully discriminate against another person.
- Post obscene, defamatory, hateful, deceptive, or unlawful material.
- Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity or affiliation.
- Disrupt a class, ministry activity, website, network, or user account.
- Upload malicious software or attempt unauthorized access.
- Violate another person’s privacy, intellectual-property rights, or legal rights.
- Copy, sell, or distribute protected course materials without permission.
4. Course and Ministry Content
ROJU course materials, videos, lessons, graphics, logos, assessments, and publications are owned by or licensed to ROJU. Registered users receive a limited, personal, nonexclusive, nontransferable, and revocable right to access authorized material for personal education, discipleship, and ministry preparation. This does not authorize reproduction, resale, public distribution, modification, or commercial use without written permission.
5. User-Submitted Content
You retain ownership of original content you submit. You authorize ROJU to store, review, display, and use assignments, comments, testimonies, discussions, and similar content as reasonably necessary to administer the applicable course or ministry program. You confirm that your submissions are your own or that you have permission to use them. Submitting course content does not automatically authorize its use in public advertising.
6. Photographs, Video, Audio, and Ministry Promotion
ROJU may photograph or record classes, ceremonies, conferences, worship services, interviews, public events, and ministry activities. With appropriate permission, these materials may support Christian education, ministry reporting, testimony, outreach, fundraising, advertising, and the mission of spiritual multiplication.
Membership, enrollment, or website use alone does not constitute unlimited consent to use an identifiable person’s image, voice, testimony, or likeness in promotional material.
- Adults should provide a separate written or electronic media release for identifiable promotional use.
- A parent or legal guardian must provide the required permission for a minor.
- ROJU will not intentionally present a person’s testimony or endorsement in a materially false or misleading manner.
- Withdrawal requests apply to future uses where reasonably possible but may not affect completed or previously distributed material.
- People attending a clearly identified public event may appear incidentally in crowd or background recordings, subject to applicable law.
7. ROJU Membership Cancellation Policy
Monthly and annual memberships are billed in advance from the member’s original enrollment date. Members may cancel at any time. Cancellation stops the next automatic renewal payment but does not immediately terminate access. Members will continue to have access through the end of their current paid membership period. Monthly members retain access through their monthly paid-through date, and annual members retain access through their annual paid-through date. No prorated refunds are provided for unused time remaining in the current billing period.
Cancellation does not automatically refund charges already paid. Refund eligibility is governed by the refund terms displayed when you enroll or purchase, ROJU’s posted Refund Policy, and applicable law. If you have difficulty canceling through your profile, contact ROJU promptly so the request can be documented and processed.
Course fees, subscriptions, products, and donations may be processed by third-party providers. You agree to provide accurate payment information and authorize the stated charges. Donations are separate from membership fees and are not canceled by ending a membership unless the donation itself was established as recurring and is separately canceled. Consult a qualified tax adviser about the deductibility of any payment or donation.
8. Third-Party Services
ROJU may link to or integrate independently operated services. Those services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. A link does not necessarily constitute endorsement.
9. Availability and Program Changes
ROJU may update courses, instructors, schedules, materials, features, prices, and program requirements. Access may be interrupted for maintenance, security, technical problems, or circumstances beyond our control. We will make reasonable efforts to communicate material changes affecting active participants.
10. Disclaimer
ROJU provides its website, resources, and services on an “as available” basis to the extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation, a particular spiritual result, employment, licensing, transfer credit, or acceptance by another organization. Website material is not medical, legal, financial, or mental-health advice.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ROJU and its leaders, employees, instructors, volunteers, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the website or participation in its programs. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
12. Suspension and Termination
ROJU may restrict or terminate access to protect users or ministry operations, address nonpayment, investigate misconduct or security concerns, enforce these Terms, or comply with law. When appropriate, ROJU may provide notice and an opportunity to respond.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan and applicable federal law, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
14. Changes and Contact
ROJU may update these Terms when its programs, services, or legal obligations change. Updated Terms will be posted with a revised effective date.
