Course Description

ORI-101: RAIN Welcome & University Orientation is the required introductory course for every student enrolling in ROJU University. This course welcomes students into the Raindrop Apostolic International Network (RAIN) family and introduces them to the vision, mission, values, beliefs, and educational philosophy of ROJU University.

Students will learn how the university operates, how to navigate the student portal, understand academic expectations, and prepare for success in their chosen certificate, diploma, or degree program. The course also introduces students to the work of the Holy Spirit, the mission of global evangelism, biblical truth, and discovering God’s purpose for their lives.

Through videos, readings, interactive lessons, and a final orientation assessment, students will gain the knowledge and confidence needed to begin their ROJU University journey successfully.

Course Learning Outcomes

  • Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
  • Understand the vision, mission, and purpose of ROJU University.
  • Explain the mission of the Raindrop Apostolic International Network (RAIN).
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the Statement of Faith and core biblical beliefs.
  • Understand the culture, values, and expectations of ROJU University students.
  • Navigate the Student Portal and use university resources effectively.
  • Understand academic policies, grading standards, and student responsibilities.
  • Identify the various schools, programs, certificates, and learning pathways offered by ROJU University.
  • Recognize the importance of the Holy Spirit in spiritual growth and ministry preparation.
  • Understand the university's commitment to global missions, evangelism, discipleship, and leadership development.
  • Identify God's purpose for lifelong learning, ministry, and service.
  • Demonstrate readiness to begin the Core Curriculum.
  • Successfully complete the Orientation Assessment and receive authorization to continue into the ROJU University Core Curriculum.

Expected Student Outcome

By the end of ORI-101, students will have a clear understanding of who ROJU University is, what RAIN believes, how the university functions, and what is expected of them as students. They will be spiritually and academically prepared to begin the ROJU University Core Curriculum with confidence, equipped to pursue God’s purpose, grow in biblical knowledge, and participate in the university’s mission of equipping the saints for the work of ministry (Ephesians 4:12).

Completion Requirements

  • To successfully complete ORI-101, students must:
  • Complete every orientation lesson.
  • Review the Statement of Faith.
  • Read the Student Handbook.
  • Learn to navigate the Student Portal.
  • Complete all required orientation activities.
  • Pass the Orientation Assessment.
  • Receive authorization to begin the University Core Curriculum.
