Philippians
Required course in the ROJU University Core Curriculum.

Course Description
PHP-101: Philippians provides students with an inspiring study of Paul’s letter to the church at Philippi, a letter overflowing with joy, encouragement, gratitude, and unwavering confidence in Jesus Christ. Although Paul wrote Philippians while imprisoned, he repeatedly calls believers to rejoice in the Lord, demonstrating that true joy is found not in favorable circumstances but in a personal relationship with Christ.
Throughout this course, students will discover the importance of developing the mind of Christ, living in humility, pursuing unity within the Body of Christ, faithfully serving others, and remaining steadfast during trials and opposition. Students will learn that Christian maturity is characterized by joyful obedience, sacrificial love, spiritual perseverance, and complete dependence upon God.
Special emphasis is placed on cultivating Christlike attitudes, pressing toward spiritual growth, overcoming anxiety through prayer, practicing contentment in every circumstance, and living lives worthy of the Gospel. Through Scripture study, workbook assignments, chapter quizzes, personal reflection, and ministry application, students will be equipped to experience the joy and peace that come from faithfully following Jesus Christ.
