Course Description

ROM-101: Romans provides students with a comprehensive study of one of the most influential books in the New Testament. Paul’s letter to the Romans presents the clearest biblical explanation of the Gospel, revealing God’s plan of salvation through Jesus Christ and His righteousness offered by grace through faith. This course establishes the theological foundation upon which every believer’s Christian life and ministry should be built.

Students will examine humanity’s need for salvation, the consequences of sin, justification by faith, the believer’s union with Christ, sanctification, the ministry of the Holy Spirit, God’s faithfulness to Israel, and the practical application of Christian living. Throughout the course, students will discover how the Gospel transforms every area of life and equips believers to live victoriously through the power of the Holy Spirit.

Special emphasis is placed on understanding the relationship between grace and faith, freedom from condemnation, life in the Spirit, spiritual transformation, and wholehearted commitment to Christ. Students will also learn how the doctrines taught in Romans form the foundation for Christian discipleship, leadership, evangelism, and ministry.

Through guided Scripture study, workbook assignments, chapter quizzes, personal reflection, and practical application, students will gain a deeper understanding of God’s redemptive plan and develop a stronger biblical worldview centered on Jesus Christ.

Expected Student Outcome

They will confidently explain salvation by grace through faith, understand the believer’s identity in Christ, walk more fully in the power of the Holy Spirit, and apply biblical truth to everyday life. This course establishes the theological framework that supports all future biblical and ministry studies within the ROJU University Core Curriculum and equips students to communicate the Gospel clearly while living lives that reflect the righteousness of Christ.
