Release of the Spirit
Required course in the ROJU University Core Curriculum.
Course Overview
ROS-101: Release of the Spirit teaches students how to surrender fully to the work of the Holy Spirit so that Christ may be revealed through every area of their lives. While every believer receives the Holy Spirit at salvation, many Christians struggle to walk in the fullness of the Spirit because of fear, unbelief, unforgiveness, pride, spiritual strongholds, or a lack of understanding. This course equips students to recognize and remove these hindrances so they can live with greater freedom, spiritual sensitivity, and effectiveness in ministry.
Students will explore what it means to be led by the Holy Spirit, to walk in obedience to God’s voice, and to minister through His power rather than human ability. Emphasis is placed on yielding daily to the Holy Spirit, cultivating intimacy with God, and allowing the fruit and gifts of the Spirit to develop naturally through a surrendered life.
Through biblical teaching, personal reflection, prayer, practical ministry exercises, and guided application, students will learn how to release the work of the Holy Spirit in their personal lives, relationships, churches, communities, and ministries. By the end of the course, students will understand that the Christian life is not lived by human strength but through continual dependence upon the Holy Spirit.
