Course Overview
PET-101: 1 Peter provides students with a comprehensive study of the Apostle Peter’s first letter, written to encourage believers who were experiencing trials, persecution, and suffering because of their faith in Jesus Christ. Peter reminds Christians that they are God’s chosen people, called to live holy lives, stand firm in the truth, and maintain unwavering hope regardless of the circumstances they face.
Throughout this course, students will discover their identity in Christ as a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, and a holy nation. They will learn how to respond to suffering with faith, humility, perseverance, and confidence in God’s promises. The course also emphasizes holy living, submission to God-ordained authority, servant leadership, Christian witness, spiritual gifts, and faithful stewardship.
Special emphasis is placed on living as ambassadors of Christ in a hostile world, reflecting God’s character through love, humility, holiness, and service. Students will be encouraged to remain steadfast in their faith while trusting God’s sovereign care and eternal promises. Through Scripture study, workbook assignments, chapter quizzes, personal reflection, and ministry application, students will be equipped to endure hardship with hope and glorify Christ in every area of life.

Completion Requirements
- To successfully complete PET-101, students must:
- Read all five chapters of the Book of 1 Peter.
- Complete every workbook lesson.
- Successfully complete each chapter quiz.
- Complete all Scripture reflection and application assignments.
- Participate in ministry application activities (if assigned).
- Pass the comprehensive final examination.
- Demonstrate an understanding of Christian identity, holy living, faithful endurance, and practical service as taught in 1 Peter.
